Daniel Owen (October 20, 1836 - October 22, 1895), was a Welsh novelist.

He was natural inside Mold, Flintshire, and apprenticed to a sartor, so trained unsuccessfully for the ministry prior to giving to the tailoring business.

He was a 1st major novelist in the Welsh language, his best-known works existence:
